Pilanesburg Game Reserve (pictures)

All self-explanatory, I think, but readers may wish to put names to the different birds.

  1. Do you know the names of the birds or must we do our own Googling?!

So far here we've racked up seeing a wild boar, an otter, and two turtles (or possibly the same turtle twice). There are also quite a lot of tiny birds and a few bloody big birds! None as gorgeously coloured as the ones you've seen though.

    Love the close-up giraffe pic.

  3. Wow, how did you take those stunning pictures of birds?

That's meant to be very difficult.

    You must be a pro!

  4. The black and orange bird is a Southern Red Bishop (Euplectes orix)

The yellow bird with a black face is a Southern Masked Weaver (Ploceus velatus)

And the stork is indeed a Marabou Stork (Leptoptilos crumeniferus)
